Class override (pre-requisite not met) requests for Spring 2021 Information:
Overrides will only be considered for COM courses offered through The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Override requests will not be considered after the drop/add period for that session (A, B, or C) has ended. For drop/add dates, please see the Academic Calendar or your MyASU.
Our academic advisors help students successfully transition to the university and make progress towards their educational goals and graduation. Communication majors are encouraged to meet with an advisor at least once a year.
The Hugh Downs School is offering advising appointments by phone and Zoom (Arizona-MST zone). To schedule an appointment please click on the academic advising link on your My ASU. For phone appointments, the advisor will call you at the scheduled date and time and may be calling you from a blocked number. For Zoom appointments, indicate this as your preference in the notes and the advisor will contact you by email with the Zoom link.
You will need to provide your name, 10-digit ASU ID number, phone number, and reason for the appointment.
Prior to the appointment, students should review their DARS and write down questions to discuss with the advisor.
During the appointment, students should have access to a computer, their My ASU and be prepared to take notes.
In-person appointments are limited and based on availability of on-site advising staff and required space needed to ensure physical distancing. To request an in-person appointment please call our main office at 480-965-5095.

Walk-in hours have been canceled. Advising will be provided on a scheduled appointment basis Monday through Friday.
