Loving our Communities: Social and Behavioral Health Interventions in Latin America and the Caribbean

Countries throughout Latin America are committed to rearing healthy, thriving children, promoting positive relationships, stopping bullying and violence against women, and creating safe and sustainable communities.

To achieve these goals, we believe coordinated interventions can help. 

We invite you to participate in the inaugural online Conference on Social and Behavioral Health Intervention Programs and Practices in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The aim of the conference is to develop cross-national collaborations on health topics.

This conference will be held via an online platform on Thursday and Friday, March 24 and 25, 2022 (1:00 to 4:00 pm, Costa Rica Time Zone).

Join researchers, government workers, counselors and others to share your experiences designing, implementing, or studying intervention programs in Latin America and the Caribbean. The conference is organized by a multi-national steering committee. 

You will:

• Connect with others who are doing interventions with various populations
• Share your experiences doing school, family, or community-based interventions 
• Learn from experts who have implemented interventions in Latin American and Caribbean contexts

• Preventing domestic and teenage dating violence or alcohol and drug use
• Addressing risks facing communities, like gangs and familial violence
• Improving family functioning and developing happy relationships
• Seeing adolescents successfully transition to adulthood in school and work
