ASU Forensics Team 2006-2009

Congratulations to ASU's 2008-09 Forensics Team

Congratulations to the ASU Forensics Team in their recent success at the American Forensics Association National Individual Events Tournament, held at the University of Akron. ASU continued with it’s tradition of success, placing 8th overall, finishing in the top 10 for the 16th consecutive year. The team finished with the second most national final rounds of any team in the nation, a tremendous feat considering the relative youth of the team. With no graduating seniors the team only looks to build on that success for next year. For more details about the individual results see the following article provided on ASUwebdevil. The following link is a video taken at the awards ceremony when ASU was called up for their eighth place award. The standing ovation and chanting is an unprecedented occurrence that demonstrates the nation’s respect and appreciation for the quality of work that ASU speech brings to the forensics community. The exuberance was also partially motivated by the nation’s awareness of the financial troubles facing ASU as team, a department, and a school. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foX2a0ktX44&feature=channel_page
